Valery was wonderful to work with and made the entire process from beginning to end so easy. She guided us through the planning and design with some amazing and creative ideas for our foyer and living room. She expertly made the overall design flow together for a cohesive look. We now have two beautiful rooms that we love and we’re looking forward to working with Valery again on additional projects.

My husband and I decided to redecorate our home. I contacted Decorating Den because I wanted that professional look. We chose Valery from the website and scheduled an appointment.  From the very beginning, Valery was mindful of my skepticism in letting someone have control. She did this with much grace and much patience. I am sure I wasn’t the easiest client to deal with.  After discussing ideas, she was able to help me see her vision.  Over several months we got through all the selections. Valery was always patient, kind, very professional, and very knowledgeable. It is my pleasure to recommend Valery Huffenus with Decorating Den.  We hired Valery to help design our living room, den and dining room after we moved into a new house earlier this year.  We have never worked with an interior designer before.  Valery made the process so easy and made us feel comfortable every step of the way.  She was able to incorporate our style and her expertise to develop an amazing design that we could not be happier with.   I have already recommended Valery to several of my friends.  We intend to hire her again to help with the rest of our house.

Val helped us redo our kitchen and office. She was extremely helpful in choosing the colors, fabric and furniture that would work in each space. She understood what we were looking for but also helped us branch out and incorporate items we would not have considered. We love the way both rooms turned out!

Valery has a great sense of style and is able to get a professional end product on any budget. She can “see” the end result long before the finish. She’s a joy to work with and listens to all your needs and wants and magically it’s all so beautiful!

My husband and I worked with Valery. She was very professional and an overall joy to deal with. We told her what we were looking to accomplish and what we were willing to spend to get it done. To our surprise, we ended up getting our guest room decorated and furnished less than we had budgeted for. Also, once we agreed on the materials, from start to finish was pretty quick. Valery consulted for me when we renovated our 1970’s home in Charlotte. My husband and I were delighted with the results – the selections she made (furniture, rugs, lighting and paint color) incorporated our special antique pieces and contemporary art collection. It’s a harmonious look that’s updated, light and personal. I experienced how Valery’s interior design education and experience informs her ability to create interiors that are both sophisticated and personal.

From the early stage of planning until the project was done Val was our rock and voice of reason. She managed the contractors and held them accountable when an issue popped up. Glad she was there because I was ready to go crazy. Instead she handled it, kept everything on track and offered some pretty creative solutions to our project.

Valery really cares about how things look. She carefully chooses each color and each item so that the finished area looks its best.

Valery is fantastic at what she does and has a natural talent like no other.  She has completed two rooms in our home and we are so happy with how it turned out.  She is very easy to work with and listens to exactly what her clients want.  She will work with any budget and what you get is a professional, complete look.  I have recommended her to many others and all have been very satisfied.  She is a joy to work with and anyone would be lucky to have her help.
